There are several different causes of fertility problems, and depending on the cause of your infertility, you may have several options. You should see your doctor for a medical evaluation regarding your fertility.

In some cases, determining the cause of infertility is the hardest part of treatment. Once the cause is determined, there are several treatment options available to you:
    • Ovulation induction -- This common treatment uses oral and/or injectable medications to improve the likelihood of fertilization.
    • Assisted reproductive technologies (ART) -- Treatments include in vitro fertilization (IVF), assisted hatching, cryopreservation, donor egg and embryo services, intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), and pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) -- all supported by endocrinology, andrology, and embryology laboratories.
    • Surgical options -- Insemination or IVF may not be necessary for all patients. Alternatively, surgery may be recommended prior to other fertility treatments. The latest endoscopic techniques and procedures include laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, tubal reversal, hydrosalpinx removal and tubal cannulation.
