    Dandelion flowers, leaves and roots contain many chemicals that have a variety of effects, such as antiinflammatory activity, antioxidant effects, and diuretic effects. One of the constituents is thought to be a food source for the beneficial bacteria in the gut, giving dandelion a pre-biotic effect.
