They will sign a confidentiality agreement. It is emphasized that a persons particular concerns should never be broached outside of the group setting. The group will post ground rules and review them periodically. Only the patient and provider have access to her chart. The decision to share information with the group is an individual one and on one is ever pressured to disclose personal concerns. Each expectant mom and her partner will have some private moments in which to discuss personal concerns with the health care provider. General topics can be raised within the group for discussion and information sharing.
