How can I change my breathing pattern?

    Before you panic and head for the nearest razor blade, rest assured that your breathing can be adjusted. It's just a matter of paying attention and making your breathing a priority. Take it off the toenail list and put it up with eating and sleeping. It's that important.

    At any time, your breathing is somewhere along a continuum. At best, it's complete and full, coming into your lungs in a deep, slow, rhythmical pattern. The other end of the spectrum features rapid, shallow breathing that sounds something like a panting dog.
