Here are some tips for taking care of your 15-month-old toddler:
    • Brace yourself: Walking, and perhaps running, will have begun by now. The world as he knows it -- and as you know it -- has officially changed. Get ready to get moving. Keep your child on a visual leash at all times. But accidents do happen.
    • Playtime, playtime, playtime. Get outside and expose his senses to the world. There'll be time for soap and water later.
    • Remember the mantra that good foods are just that: good for you. The more you give in to marketing tactics and sugary evil, the harder it will be to get your kid to eat right. The more you expose your child to healthy food, the better the chances that eating right will become a habit.
    • A child's intestines are about three and a half times the length of his height. That's a long way; hope those smashed peas have frequent-flier miles.
