How can I make my lips fuller?
-
Dr. Chad Gordon of Johns Hopkins Medicine answered:A procedure called lip augmentation can make lips look fuller. The procedure can be done in one of two ways: by adding materials to the lips through fat grafts or the use of hyaluronic acid injectable dermal fillers, or by advancing lip tissue. Advancing lip tissue involves moving tissue from your inner lips outward to create an appearance of fullness. This is a popular procedure and involves minimal recovery time.

Dr. Stuart Linder answered:The most popular techniques for lip augmentation or enhancement include dermal filler or grafts. The most common used dermal fillers include: Radiance, Juvaderm, Restylane (hyaluronic acids). The swelling post-injection may last about a week. Dermal or autologous fat grafting may be performed yielding longer lasting or permanent results. Finally, VY plasty surgical procedures may lengthen the lips by advancement of the labia.
