    Dr. Mehmet Oz answered:
Treating bed sores successfully sometimes requires a team effort, so you may need to seek the advice of several different  healthcare professionals. You can start with your primary care doctor, who may refer you to a dermatologist, a wound specialist, and/or a dietician (to ensure that you are eating a well-balanced diet to facilitate wound healing). Other doctors may also be involved in your care if you have underlying conditions that raise your risks for bed sores, such as diabetes, a spinal injury, or if you are recovering from surgery.
