    Fluvoxamine interacts with many other medications. Here are some to watch for:

    • anti-arrhythmia drugs like quinidine
    • aspirin products and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) and naproxen (Aleve, Naprosyn)
    • beta-blockers such as metoprolol (Lopressor, Toprol) and propranolol (Inderal, Inderide)
    • blood thinners such as warfarin (Coumadin)
    • carbamazepine (Tegretol)
    • clopidogrel (Plavix)
    • cyclosporine (Neoral, Sandimmune)
    • dextromethorphan (in cough medications)
    • diltiazem (Cardizem)
    • diuretics ("water pills")
    • ketoconazole (Nizoral)
    • medications for anxiety, depression or mental illness, such as lithium, buspirone (BuSpar), diazepam (Valium), clozapine (Clozaril) and haloperidol (Haldol)
    • methadone (Dolophine, Methadose)
    • mexiletine (Mexitil)
    • metoclopramide
    • midazolam (Versed)
    • migraine medications, such as almotriptan (Axert), eletriptan (Relpax), frovatriptan (Frova), naratriptan (Amerge), rizatriptan (Maxalt), sumatriptan (Imitrex) or zolmitriptan (Zomig)
    • omeprazole (Prilosec, Zegerid)
    • phenytoin (Dilantin)
    • theophylline (Theo-Dur)

    • triazolam (Halcion)
