  1. The primary symptom of fecal incontinence is a lack of control over the bowels. If you have fecal incontinence, you will not be able to stop stool or gas from leaving your bowels. You may not be able to make it to the toilet in time to avert an accident. You may also experience gas, constipation, and diarrhea.
