Are facelift, eyelid, or neck lift surgeries covered by health insurance?

Blepharoplasties that are performed for visual field obstruction from dermatochalasis (redundant skin laxity) may be covered by some insurance policies. In general, facelifts and neck lifts are Not covered as they are cosmetic. 

In general, the only surgeries that are covered by insurance are those that are considered "medically necessary" and interfere with normal function. Since most cosmetic surgery procedures are performed for aesthetic reasons, they are usually not covered by insurance. The one major exception to this is upper blepharoplasty (upper eyelid surgery). Upper blepharoplasty can be covered by insurance if there is evidence that the excess skin of the eyelid is interfering with vision. The only times I have seen facelifts being covered by insurance is when a patient underwent a facelift on one side in order to match the other side which was affected by tumor resection or facial paralysis.
