- Conjunctivitis (inflammation of the transparent mucous membrane under the eyelids)
- Scarring of the conjunctiva (white part of the eye)
- Iritis (inflammation inside the eye)
- Corneal blisters and perforation
Left untreated, SJS can lead to vision loss.
