Do I need to exercise a lot on the lifestyle program?
-
Dr. Dean Ornish answered:Since you consume so much less fat on the reversal diet described in Eat More, Weigh Less than on most other diets, you don’t need to exercise excessively. Moderate exercise is an important part of the program. Just walking twenty to sixty minutes a day, and not even very fast, is often enough. Moderate exercise gives you most of the physiological and psychological health benefits of more intensive forms of exercise while minimizing the risks of injury, both to your musculoskeletal system and to your heart.
