If your life is too busy to stop and exercise each day, make sure you are moving around with household chores and daily living activities. As you check the following list of beneficial activities, choose those that are pleasurable and that you will stick with -- just make certain your body is in motion so you get a full workout. Depending on your personal fitness level, vary the exercises to keep from getting bored. Good activities include: active play with children or grandchildren, climbing the stairs instead of using the elevator, gardening, housecleaning, jumping rope, mowing the lawn, playing Frisbee, playing softball or kickball with the family, riding bikes with children, vacuuming, walking the dog, and window washing.
