    Stacy Wiegman answered:
Vitamin K is a necessary part of any diet because it is instrumental in helping blood to clot and for bone health. Supplements can be helpful for people who have a vitamin K deficiency, excessive bleeding or osteoporosis. But it is always best to get your daily allotment of vitamin K from the foods you eat. Vitamin K is found in broccoli, turnip greens, spinach, kale, asparagus, cabbage, green tea, beef liver and lettuce. It is also produced by intestinal bacteria.
