    Yes, most dental insurance covers x-rays at 100%. It is usually considered a diagnostic or preventive service. Just make sure the dental office participates with the insurance plan you carry.

    Dental radiographs are usually covered by dental insurance; however, there may be deductibles and copays even for diagnostic services. Also, benefits are limited by annual maximums, frequency limits and other restrictions.

    As with so many things, "you can't assume" that you will be covered for radiographs or any other service without checking with your carrier, and even that is not a guarantee.
