However if you eat fast food at an independent restaurant the food can be made with trans fats. Trans fats tend to be in fried foods. Nuggets, French fries, waffle fries, taco shells and chips, including fried desserts like donuts and even croissants all can have trans fats. Many frozen fast food still contain trans fats. You must read labels to determine if there are any trans or hydrogenated fats.
