    Dr. Mehmet Oz answered:
Producing erections and making sperm are two separate functions within your body. As such, developing erectile dysfunction (ED), or a problem with having erections, doesn't make you sterile. If you get treatment for erectile dysfunction, there's no reason to think that you are anything but fully fertile and capable of impregnating a female partner.

Erectile dysfunction is not the same as sterility (more commonly referred to as male factor infertility). Erectile dysfunction happens when a man is unable to sustain an erection 75% of the time during sexual intercourse. Male factor infertility refers to problems men have when trying to conceive a child. In some cases, ED may be linked to a low sperm count, low levels of testosterone or difficulty with conception.

While maintaining an erection is important for natural conception, doctors have treatments for ED and procedures to help couples get pregnant.
