Should I let my doctor know I am taking aspirin?

    You should let your doctor know if you are taking aspirin regularly or if you are combining it with other over the counter or prescription medications. You should also let your doctor know you are planning on taking aspirin if you have any current or past medical conditions, and about whether or not you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have plans to become pregnant or nurse a baby. Although aspirin is a very common and easily available drug, it has side effects, risks, and interactions with other medications, some of them serious. Your doctor can advise you on avoiding or treating any of these problems.
