Do wheat allergies affect children differently than adults?

Both children and adults must avoid wheat products if they have wheat allergies. Additionally-most of their reactions to wheat are similar. However-most children outgrow major food allergies-including wheat allergies-by the time they reach age five. Because of this-the number of children with wheat allergies is much higher than the number of adults with the same condition.
