What foods should I include in my diet to reduce pain?
-
Debra Fulghum Bruce PhD answered:While there are is no one “magic” food known to cure pain on its own, published studies now associate a reduction in fat storage and pro-inflammatory chemicals in the body with a diet high in fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts and seeds, low-fat dairy (including yogurt), and soy products, and low in white bread, white rice, and potato products.
This mostly plant-based diet also causes an extensive and positive change in the blood fats (triglycerides and LDL and HDL cholesterol) in the body.
