Can I determine the amount of cholesterol receptors I have?

    The number of cholesterol receptors is, in part, genetically determined. However, if the amount of saturated fat and cholesterol in your diet is low enough, then your blood cholesterol level will be low even if you don't have very many cholesterol receptors. In other words, even if you are not very efficient at removing fat and cholesterol from your blood, it doesn't matter if you don't eat very much of it.
