Would a critical care nurse work in the trauma unit?

A critical care nurse can work in the trauma unit. A trauma unit includes patients, who have been injured in a car accident, stabbing, gunshot, severe fall, drowning, or other acts of violence or accident. Nurses can obtain additional training in trauma nursing through courses, such as the Trauma Nurse Core Course, offered by the Emergency Nurses Association. 

Yes a critical care nurse may work in a trauma unit. A critical care nurse may float to all different units such as: cardiology unit, med surg unit, surgical unit, and neuro unit are just some of the different units that utilize a critical care nurse. Critical care nurses are trained to handle patients that have been sicker than the average patient on the floor. This includes learning advanced training from a critical care program or trauma program that is likely sponsored by the Hospital/facility you are working for.
