Could weight loss cause my heart to flutter?

    In and of itself, weight loss does not cause arrhythmias. However, in someone of low starting weight or who has had a large amount of weight loss in a short amount of time, this could cause the heart to flutter. Heart flutters, also called heart palpitations, can be caused by a large number of things, such as dehydration, panic attacks, and heart problems. If you are having heart palpitations, you should call your doctor because this could be a more serious issue.
