Could my mother get kidney stones from taking Topamax?

    Your mother could get kidney stones as a side effect of taking Topamax  (also known as topiramate), especially if she has had them before or if others in your family have had them. To keep from getting kidney stones, your mother should drink plenty of water (six to eight glasses) every day. Your mother should talk with her doctor about her risk of getting kidney stones from taking this medicine.
