What do most combat sports programs seem to be missing?

National Academy of Sports Medicine answered:There seems to be three important issues missing. First, proper phasing and organization. Secondly, corrective exercise programs or stability and endurance phases of training are not being implemented. Finally, training for combat sports often neglects the use and implementation of valid science. Athletes are all unique individuals and should receive proper assessments and individualized programs when enhanced fight performance is the primary goal. Understanding and implementing these three suggestions will provide a training platform that is scientifically sound, creating a blueprint for success.
