All emergency rooms are equipped to care for patients with heart problems. Many hospitals advertise their emergency rooms as a "chest center" if they also have cardiac catheterization available 24/7. The most important thing to remember is that if someone is suspected of having a heart attack; they should be transported using the emergency response system (911) to the nearest ED for care.
