The best way to care for someone who has gotten root form dental implants is by helping them feel comfortable and making sure they're following their oral surgeon's post-operative instructions. Many people are given prescriptions for antibiotics and pain medication after getting dental implants and you may be able to get their prescriptions filled and make sure they're taking the medication as directed. Preparing meals of soft food and having soothing items on hand, such as an ice pack to reduce swelling or water to rinse their mouth, may also help. Being available to call the surgeon if complications arise may also help.
