What should I know about caring for someone with AIDS-related lymphoma?

If someone you care for has AIDS-related lymphoma, they may face complex treatment involving not only chemotherapy and/or radiation for the cancer, but also drug therapy to fight human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). They may or may not be able to keep up with full-time work or daily tasks. You can help by offering to do things like cook meals, and also by providing emotional support. Encourage the person to keep doing activities they want to do, as long as they feel up to them. People with cancer may find it helps to learn as much as possible about their illness, or to join a support group in their town or online.
