A cantilever dental bridge procedure usually takes two visits to the dentist. During the first visit, the dentist will prepare the anchor tooth for the bridge. During the second visit, about one week later, the dentist will put the bridge into place. Both visits usually take about one hour to 90 minutes. You may need one or more shorter visits after the bridge is in place to make sure it fits correctly and is comfortable.
