You cannot take Erivedge (vismodegib) if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. It is extremely dangerous for pregnant women because it can cause severe birth defects or be fatal to a developing fetus. (It is equally dangerous for the baby of a woman who becomes pregnant while her partner is taking Erivedge.) It is not safe to breastfeed a baby while you are taking Erivedge. You may need to formula-feed your baby while taking Erivedge.
