    Dr. Mehmet Oz answered:
To reduce your risk for stroke, include good fats such as olive oil, avocados, and seafood (especially salmon). Adopt the juicing habit. Try juicing one day every two weeks for two months. This will improve your body chemistry and reduce extra blood fats. Have a citrus or potassium (banana) drink in the morning (made from fresh fruit). Have a green vegetable drink at midday. Try an apple, papaya, or pear juice before a light dinner. Finish your day with chamomile tea before bedtime.

To reduce your risk for stroke, avoid caffeine, salty, sugary, fatty, or fried foods, smoked meats, heavy pastries, and soft drinks. All cause potassium depletion and contribute to arterial plaque buildup.
