I would not use laser whitening on my kids. The pulp (which contains the nerve) of your child's teeth is large (closer to the surface). I would wait until the pulp shrinks in size (it does naturally as we mature) in the late teens.

Laser teeth whitening may be appropriate for some children. As a rule, however, dentists recommend waiting until a young person's permanent teeth have come in before he or she has laser teeth whitening or any other teeth bleaching procedure. Children may be more bothered by some of the potential side effects of laser teeth whitening, such as tooth sensitivity. Also, the potential negative long-term effects of materials used in laser teeth whitening haven't been well studied in children. However, dentists may decide that certain children are appropriate candidates for laser teeth whitening.

It depends on the age of the child. It is generally recommended to wait until all adult/permanent teeth are fully erupted before using a whitening product.

Also, children tend to have larger nerve spaces in their teeth which means they are more likely to have sensitive teeth as a result of the procedure. Usually this sensitivity is temporary, but it does take time for it to go away, and it can be quite annoying during that waiting period.
