    If you have high blood pressure, ask your doctor or healthcare practitioner whether interval training, which varies the intensity of your workout, would be right for you. If you're running or walking briskly, for instance, you could pick up your pace for a minute or so and then return to your normal pace for up to 10 minutes -- and then speed up again. This type of training works out your body in different ways and helps you to develop your aerobic capacity as well as your strength and flexibility. It is important to get the clearance of your doctor for interval training.
