Absolutely. Avoiding alcohol, deep-fried foods, processed foods and tobacco are very helpful at prevention. Exercise, correct diet and establishing strong Liver and metabolic function can effectively prevent high cholesterol. In many cases these actions may even reduce already existing high cholesterol. In Chinese Medical theory, lecithin granules, bananas, garlic, grapefruit, oat bran, fresh steamed vegetables and cold-water fish may help dramatically. Obviously, these recommendations are not a substitute for your doctor's advice or prescriptions.
