  1. There are many varieties of hair disorders, with some being curable while others are not. Some disorders such as stress induced hair loss, can resolve itself as soon as the stressor is eliminated. Drug related hair growth can also be alleviated by discontinuing the drug causing the problem. Conversely, drugs can help prevent and cure some forms of baldness. But not all disorders are curable. For instance, congenital varieties of hair disorders are not treatable with medication, but can be managed with self care methods. Disorders caused by an underlying disease, might only go away after the disease itself has been cured.
