    According to most research as of 2010, fluoride does not cause cancer. It's true that at least one study, in animals, has found a link between fluoride and cancer. But dozens of other studies -- of people as well as animals -- show that fluoride does not increase your cancer risk. The U.S. Public Health Service and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention both say that fluoride is safe for you to consume.
