Ergonomic solutions are often employed to help with back, hip, and neck pain while sitting or at a workstation. While the principles of ergonomics are sound, I've found that they are only part of the equation. For instance, a chair will be configured differently for someone with an extension problem than for someone with a flexion problem. Take the time to understand your personal biomechanics and movement dysfunctions, and think about how best to offset them by adjusting your workstation's ergonomic setup.
