Yes, you can eat dessert and still lose weight. You can’t however, eat dessert every day and expect to lose weight. A reasonable dessert, such as small piece of cake, or a small cupcake, 1-2 scoops ice cream, or any other dessert that is roughly ½ cup portion size, once per week should not affect your weight loss efforts as long as you are following your diet the rest of the week.
