Biofeedback sends a signal to let you know when you have located the right pelvic muscles to exercise. You can do it with a home device or with the help of a physician or therapist. Once the right muscles are located, you can correctly isolate and contract the pelvic muscles to strengthen them. Biofeedback also provides an audio or visual indication to let you know that you've done the exercise right.

Biofeedback shows you what's happening inside your body so you can learn to control your muscles in order to prevent leaks. A common technique for urinary incontinence and overactive bladder (OAB) is to use electronic sensors and a monitor to see exactly what your bladder muscles are up to. As you watch your muscles respond on the screen, you'll be able to train yourself to make them contract or relax -- until you're back in control.
