Dr. R. Tom Glass answered:Absolutely!! Our clinical and laboratory research studies have shown that toothbrushes reach their maximum level of germs after 2 weeks of use and may easily transmit both oral and systemic infections. The toothbrushes should be routinely changed every 2 weeks; at the beginning of an illness; when you first feel better; and when you are well. This way you can lessen your chances of re-infection.
