There is no set age at which a child can get an orthodontic night guard. Orthodontic night guards can be helpful to children who grind their teeth at night, and teeth-grinding (bruxism) can start at any age. Orthodontic night guards can prevent the teeth from wearing down and can help prevent headaches sometimes caused by teeth-grinding.

Ask your child's orthodontist for more information.
