What aspects of XMRV are currently under study?

The question is whether the studies showing the presence of XMRV virus were accurate or simply showed a contaminant. The research has shown however that there are numerous infections associated with the immune dysfunction of chronic fatigue syndrome, and that most of these resolve without treating the infection but rather by supporting overall health. I suspect whether or not this viruses is present is not especially important.
