Are people doing a good job of protecting themselves from the sun?

Recent research in Caucasians ages 18 to 29 has found that even though a greater percentage of young adults reported using sun protection, that percentage is still low. And sunburns are on the rise in recent years, suggesting those who use sun protection may not be doing so effectively. Between 2000 and 2005, sunburn prevalence decreased to 45 percent from about 50 percent. But between 2005 and 2010, the trend was reversed.
