    There was a study performed at Florida State University published in December 2009 demonstrating that when a man smells the sweat of a woman who is ovulating, his testosterone level increases. This tends to increase "courtship behaviors," which for humans could mean that he finds her more attractive, sexier, and feels more attracted to her during that time.
