Iris color has a minor role in the amount of inflammation a patient might experience after cataract surgery, with blue eyes being less sensitive and dark eyes being more sensitive.  Modern cataract surgery and post-operative care includes the use of various kinds of anti-inflammatory eye drops that control post-operative inflammation so well that very few patients ever actually complain of sensitivity, no matter what color their eyes are.
