  1. By week 9, you have probably already had your first prenatal appointment with your doctor. At this appointment, your doctor probably performed a physical exam, a pelvic exam, blood tests, and urine tests. Most of the time, these tests are all you need until your next appointment, which probably won't be until week 12 or so. In some cases, additional screenings may be recommended, so talk to your doctor if you have questions about other tests or procedures that may be a good idea for you.
