    Treatments of tumors depend on the benign versus malignant nature of the lesion. Malignant tumors usually require some form of surgical excisional biopsy with pathological diagnosis. Benign tumors may not require any treatment other than close observation. Metastatic tumors may require surgery combined with radiation therapy and chemotherapy.
