How does Amrix interact with other medications or foods?

Amrix (generic name cyclobenzaprine) should not be combined with any of the following drugs: cisapride, droperidol, flecainide, halofantrine, levomethadyl, nilotinib, pimozide, probucol, sertindole, and MAOIs. It may also interact with abarelix, dolasetron, guanethidine, methadone, octreotide, ondansetron, palonosetron, tramadol and vardenafil. Interactions are possible between Amrix and alcohol; contrast dyes; anticholinergics including diphenhydramine (Benadryl); barbiturates; benzodiazepines; tramadol; certain sleep medications; certain cancer medications; antianxiety medications; drugs used during surgery; antidepressants; antipsychotics; some medicines that treat infections; certain medicines used for irregular heartbeat; and phenothiazines. Make sure you tell your doctor about all other medications, vitamins and herbal supplements you take. Your doctor can make sure these do not produce harmful side effects when combined with Amrix.
