    Stacy Wiegman answered:
Tricor (fenofibrate) will only work if you take it regularly. It can take up to two months before Tricor becomes beneficial. You may not feel any differently while you are taking it because high cholesterol and triglycerides do not usually make you feel ill.
You doctor will monitor your levels through blood tests to determine whether this medication is effective. Diet and exercise programs can assist in lowering cholesterol.
