Keeping the skin moist and clean is the best way to ensure healing after laser treatments.  Bland ointments like petrolatum should be applied during the healing phase. Avoid any harsh soaps or cleansers with AHA's or salicylic acid and sunscreen is an absolute must. Your doctor will let you know when it's okay to resume your usual skin care regimen.

For all laser procedures: Keep the skin moist with an emollient wound healing ointment. When the skin begins to flake, use a wet washcloth with lotion to massage it off. No fancy creams and no sun exposure for one week.
